His sound is what drew people in. It’s what made women’s knees buckle and men jealous. His sound was like liquid gold running through the speaker system. Some may say he’s too old school, poor souls. They don’t seem to understand the importance of his voice, his sound.

His voice could go high, it could go low. Sometimes his sound would surprise you in the middle of a song. He had that ability to surprise you, to make you feel. There’s a reason his sound is still around today. There’s a reason it’s copied and produced by younger artists.

You can cover his songs, you can try to match his sound, but it really is next to impossible. No one can ever match his sound, his heart, his motivation. He had drive and went for what he wanted. He did it his way, with his sound.

His sound paved the way for others that would come after him. Not sure of what he would think of their sound, but I think he would feel good knowing there were many trying to emulate it. He knew the power of his sound and used it well.

His sound was about strength, beauty, freedom and love. His sound can relax you at the end of a long crazy day. That’s the power his sound has and it will never lose its touch. Give you three guesses on who I’m talking about.

I'm a Full-Time Paralegal and getting my B.A.S. in Supervision and Management. I've always loved to write and hope to write at least one book that will be published. That's the overall goal. When I'm not writing, working or studying I like to hang out with my husband and our three furry kids.
